Elevate

Wednesdays at 6:30pm

We’ve been hard at work crafting a class that would be perfect for our elevate78 students.  And oddly enough we figured it only made sense to call it elevate!  Every Wednesday night throughout the school year we will be meeting in the Loft for a great night of bible study.  Our night will begin after 6:15pm.  We’ll have the video games out, some time to shoot pool, and we’ll watch videos on the big screen.  If you’d like some pizza for dinner the church will have some for sale in the Kitchen.  Around 6:30 we’ll get class started.  We’ve got great games, fantastic video clips, and engaging lessons to help every student learn more about how Christianity is lived out in all areas of our life.  Class will end at 8pm.

For students enrolled in Confirmation there will be additional work required and occasionally we will meet for just a few minutes after class to go over those details.

Upcoming Series:

January 5 - 26

This 4 week series will look at the dangers of choosing bad friends in our life.  We’ll give students positive thoughts and ideas about how to make healthy choices when it comes to friends straight out of the Bible.

January 5 – Chapter 1: Wise Friends
January 12 – Chapter 2: Foolish Friends
January 19 – Chapter 3: Choosing Vs. Accepting
January 26 –  Chapter 4: Influencers

February 2 - March 2

We’re going to spend 5 weeks going over some of the basic habits of building a strong, vibrant relationship with Christ.  This series is designed to challenge students to step up and begin growing in their faith on a daily basis.

February 2 – Believing
February 9 – Reading
February 16 – Prayer
February 23 – Journaling/Memorizing Scripture
March 2 – Sharing My Faith

There will be no Elevate on March 9 due to Ash Wednesday service.  Students are required to attend this service.

March 16 - April 13

This case study will follow the life of Mark, one of the Gospel writers, as he follows Jesus throughout His ministry.  Each lesson will dive into the scripture and show us the true power of Jesus Christ.

March 16 – Mark 5:21-43
March 23 – Mark 10:17-31
March 30 – Mark 4:35-41
April 6 – NO CLASS DUE TO SPRING BREAK
April 13 – Mark 10:35-45

On April 20 we will have students take a Spiritual Gifts inventory and discuss how they can use their gifts to help serve in and out of the church!

On April 27 only our 8th Grade students that are finishing the Confirmation program will meet.
